website development
Bistrot d'orsAy

Bistrot d’Orsay, iconic Melbourne institution, needed an overhaul of their website ahead of pressing go on their new reservation and gift card system. Their existing website no longer reflected the quality, atmosphere, or legacy of the restaurant and it wasn’t built to support the operational shift they were about to make.

The brief was simple but important: Create something fresh, functional, and fast. A website that felt aligned with their timeless Parisian character, integrated seamlessly with the new booking platform, and could be managed in-house without technical knowledge.

I restructured the site architecture for clarity, refined the visual direction to better reflect the brand’s sophistication, and developed a streamlined user experience designed around one key outcome: Making it easy for guests to explore, engage, and reserve.

The new reservation system works alongside the new website, ensuring a smooth booking journey from first click to confirmation. Behind the scenes, the backend was simplified, giving the team full control over menus, updates, and content without relying on developers.

The result is a website that feels as considered as the dining experience itself — elegant, intuitive, and built for performance.

Now, the team can focus on what they do best: delivering exceptional food and hospitality, without the fuss.
